I am delighted to welcome the publication of my fifth title for Batsford Books, ‘Textile Portraits’. The book developed out of my work with portraiture, and my desire to share my experiences with practitioners and students.

I am grateful to my editors and staff at Batsford, and all of the contributors who make the book so visually rich and exciting. I’ll be signing books on the Batsford Stand at the Knitting and Stitching Show in London, on October 5th, around midday.

I am excited to be exhibiting recent works in a solo exhibition ‘Forty’ at the BT Batsford Gallery, in Hackney, from 1-8 October. The work is taken from my book and recent studies connecting portraiture with a personal milestone of having lived and worked in the UK for forty years.

There is a meet the artist and book signing event at the gallery on 8 October from 1-4 pm.
