It has been a busy year – here are some highlights:

I’ve been pleased to be a part of two exhibitions in Australia at Timeless Textiles Gallery this year with two pieces relating to the land and one for ‘Broken and Repaired’. Looking forward to working with this wonderful gallery again next year…

Some of the other exhibitions I was involved in this year include the Broderers Exhibition at the South Bank Gallery

I was also pleased to be included in the ‘Stitch by Stitch 2025’ exhibition in Oswestry at the Willow Gallery.

I enjoyed making this piece about my friend Justine for the ‘Artist Life’ exhibition at the Knit and Stitch Show in London and Harrogate (more later).
It was also great to publish my 6th book ‘Abstract Textiles’ for Batsford Books. It has been reviewed and enjoyed by many readers.

I created a booklet for the Knit and Stitch Shows and to raise money for the Trussell Trust called ‘My Studio’. I still have a few copies left if you are interested you can contact me.

I was delighted to receive the second book of students’ work for my ‘Collections and Cloth’ course for Take Two Art Courses. You can register your interest for the next release here.

I had a lovely visit to Studio Preniac in France – beautiful work and a very talented work. I’m looking forward to returning in 2027.

In 2026 I am part of a very exciting course in the Lake District – places are filling fast! The details and more information can be found here.

I was delighted to be selected as a gallery artist for the Knit and Stitch Show in London and Harrogate.‘Artist Life’ was set out as a studio. I had many visitors and lots of wonderful conversations. Thanks to Jo Hall and the Immediate Live Team.

I was invited to create a piece of textile art to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Jodrell Bank. As part of the project there was an open call for which we received 240 submissions! The resulting hangings and my commission will be on display from 24 January 2026.

To finish the year, I am delighted to be a part of the ‘Canticle of the Birds’ exhibition at the Aga Khan Centre Gallery in London. I made two bespoke pieces for the exhibition based on British and Persian birds, and inspired by Attar’s poem ‘The Conference of the Birds. The exhibition continues until May 31st.
Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy festive season and 2026 🙂
